Senior RFIC Design Engineer

Required: MS in Electrical Engineering, and 6 years RFIC experience.

The Senior Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit (RFIC) Design Engineer's responsibilities will include, managing, leading, designing, implementing, testing, documenting and supporting the development of word-class Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology and products for TV applications, with an emphasis on integrated radio frequency RFIC design in SiGe and CMOS. Engineering duties include chip floor plan design and selection of the package, working closely with the system director for feasibility study in the early stage of the project, leading the transmit chain and supervising other designers. The Senior RFIC Design Engineer will also supervise the layout engineers to optimize performance for the circuit performance as well as seek out and keeping management up-to-date of new technologies used in RFIC design and introducing conceptual system design. The Senior RFIC Design Engineer will also lead teams to design system using technology that include: Wideband Filters, Low Noise Amplifiers, Automatic Gain Control Amplifiers, Active and passive Mixers and Clock Generators, Data Detectors and Recovery Circuits, High Speed Logic, UWB Pulse Generators, High Speed ADC and various Control Loops; and frequency synthesizers. Additional duties include conducting systems feasibility analysis; evaluating system and technology alternatives; implementing Pulse Link UWB RF mixed signal IC, taking a detailed register transfer level design through logic synthesis, place-an-route, layout and timing verification, providing that timing and linearity are met via analysis, simulation and prototyping, designing and coding necessary protocol state machines; testing software using a propriety simulation framework; and ensuring conformance of systems to appropriate quality assurance standards.
